The painting titled Roses (1890) is a famous oil on canvas still life by the Dutch Post-Impressionist artist Vincent van Gogh. He created several versions of rose paintings around the time of his departure from the asylum in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in May 1890, seeing them as a symbol of renewal and life.
