"Still Life with Fruit (circa 1603)" refers to a painting by the Italian Baroque artist Caravaggio, also known as Still Life with Fruit on a Stone Ledge. The work, dated to around 1603, is one of Caravaggio's only identified independent still life paintings and is known for its naturalistic depiction of fruit and vegetables, dramatic lighting, and the way it uses the composition to comment on the transience of life.
